i paid $700 for rebuilt 91ka (less then 10k), tranny, ecu, harness etc. everything i needed for the swap(SOHC to DOHC). i dont think id pay 1100 but i havent looked into a tranny rebuild either so i dont kno how much that runs. my 2 cents... maybe less

golly you guys know to really get some good deals.

so it's not worth the money ? cause it's a higher mileage than my current engine just that my 4th cylinder piston ring are super worn out.

jason most de motors go for around 500 w/ tranny, go check the junkyard there are so many available, you might be able to get one off a low mileage 240 for all you know

^~~I agree with this man. Do some hunting. Hell you can almost get a SR for $1,100.

I got my SR for less than $1,100... but that was a bit of a hookup. lol

I wouldn't pay anymore than $400-$500 for that personally at the most.

wouldnt pay more than $600 for it, being it has a rebuilt tranny (a good thing).
If the motor was recently rebuilt, though... it would be worth having.

1,100 is wayy to expensive, this guy must think this motor is perfect...hold out and you'll find a better deal and save a lot of money
if you do pay over a grand for a ka, you better make sure it has perfect compression, and the guy like install it for you, and a lot more stuff
imo i dont think you should have to pay 1/3 the cost of an sr for a generally stock ka
i wouldnt pay more than $700 for that
but then again, im a cheap bastard....

No BS, I have spent less then $100 on a SOLID '94 KADE motor. Guy didnt even want to sell it. So they are out there, just have to hunt and be patient. Got my complete KADE harness for $20 at a Junkyard. ECU was attatched so it came with it. I had about $180ish minus gas to pick it up into the whole swap. Patientence is key though.
