I know this is sort of a newb question, but I'm trying to find this out for a friend. I have searched.

My friend just installed a Kaaz 2-way in his S14 5-lug. The only thing I can see that he did a little off was install the spacers and then hammered the differential [with a wood block] into place. But anyway, when he launches the car, or even just accelerates hard, the car pulls hard to the right, sometimes until he stops accelerating, but sometimes the steering will snap back. Also the car tends to kick back and forth on the straights. The backlash was correct when he installed the LSD.

I'm not familiar with all the problems of LSD installs. Help is greatly appreciated.

Someone has to know. I've searched even more, and I'm finding nothing. Should we take it out just to check everything?

How do you know the backlash was correct? Sounds like he deeds to take it back out and have it installed professionally. Was it broken in correctly?

sounds more of an alignment problem than something a diff would/could. was the kaaz install the only thing that was changed at the time? any suspension? also check tire pressure. if one side is real low it will pull.

ugh. use stock shims. it shouldnt need hammering. it will fit right in with slightly tappin it in placeby hand or mallet.

if your tires are uneven with a lsd it can cause this

he checked backlash. Nothing else was changed. Tire pressure is fine. I think we're going to take it out and re-install it.

Did you try calling KAAZ directly. That might help.
