Ok Heres My Situation. I got an s13 with the reg. KYB struts and Eibach Sport Line Springs. the Problem is that when ever im on any freeway or go faster than about 80mph I feel the front of the car "loose" and really "bouncy". But It feels just great "smooth" and "stiff" when im driving in the city... It Has to me my car only cuz i drove my bosses s13 and its a completely diff feeling and he has the exact same set up as me.. Ive searhed guys and i couldnt find a similar thread.. Thanks guys for your time...

You shouldnt be driving any faster then 65. Take it as a sign from your car, that it doesnt want you to go faster than 80 mph.

That's what I was thinking, too. Pull the dust covers back away from the shock operating rod and inspect for hydraulic fluid leaks.

when you say "regular KYB's" do you mean GR-2s?
Those were only meant to run at stock height, sportline springs would blow them out fairly quick, depending on how you drive and how often...

dont need to pull the shock dust covers for leaky fluid... just push down on the car... if theres no bounce back or stiffness... then its a blown shock..

not always, the push test doesnt always show a blown shock.

only way to check is to REMOVE it from the car.

check tire pressure too, make sure its not too high. check bushings, make sure nothing is loose or busted. its not just about shocks, alignment could also play a big role BROSEFS

Yea Its The Gr-2s.. But I got them installed about a week or so ago.. Gotta check the bushings tho. Probably could use an alignment. Thanks for the info guys...

Well Actually its more or a strong strong vibration... Could it be the motor mounts by any chance, or that wouldnt cause that problem

Put the car under load while stationary to check motor mounts, however bouncy at high speeds really has nothing to do with motor mounts. My first guess would be blown shocks but it could be number of things.

check all your bushings.....

when my car had springs and shocks it didn't feel competent at high speeds at all.

then you get coilovers and thats the only time it feels good.

Checked the bushings and struts and turns out the sway bar bushings were really worn and the pass. side tire was worn kinda weird.. got another tire and changed bushings.. Feels GREAT now! Thanks guys for your input...:2f2f:
