follow the upper radiator hose to the block and youll see a screw on top it says do not open when hot thats your bleeder valve screw.

yep. stand in front of your motor. look at the coolant outlet on the right side by the valve cover. the bleeder is there. easy to see and get at...unlike the KA24E.

This may sound stupid, but what does it do?
I've drained coolant a couple of times for different reasons (changing radiator, changing turbo) and never used had to use it... wtf? Thanks.

it's the topmost part of the cooling system when the car is on level ground. it allows air to bleed out while you're filling it up, so you don't get hot pockets. mmm...hot pockets. heheh. you should use it next time. makes it easier to fill it properly.

When a friend of mine was filling his radiator after his swap I saw him undo a bolt and coolant overflowed everywhere...All you have to do is follow the upper rad hose back to the motor...can't miss it!
