anyone else seen this around? if anyone knows who i'm talking about Imus had some talk show on cbs or something.

but he was talking about how rappers call there women hoe's, bi*ches and crap like that, and he got fired for it. And now they have a huge thing on cnn talking about how people are crying because he said that. I mean honestly he's meeting with govoners and womens basketball teams. I never heard about his guy beforehand and now everyone is flipping out about him because he hurt some feelings. And now it comes down once again to rap music ruining the world and that corps rule the world.

why is this such a big deal? honestly

I think you might be a little confused, the words he stated in question on their own dont stand for much, but the context he used them in was pretty derogatory.

As a societal observation. Al Sharpton makes an issue of EVERYTHING. Practically every chance he has infront of a microphone he is giving a negative opinion about a myriad of situations. Some I can understand.

As far as public eye politic-ing is concerned, Imus made a HUGE mistake by embellishing shapton's complaints. If he had not appeared on sharpton's show, the whole situation would have gone un-noticed. This bringing the issue to a figure head, you bring jesse jackson into the situation and it is game over. He is a PROVEN corporate blackmailer.

In a sense, I do not feel bad for Imus. He has been washed out for some time. He made a pretty stupid statement, without having the character to shrug it off (ie howard stern), and finally a total lack of celebrity tact... I will be happier when i never hear his name, nor see his skeletor face on tv ever again.
