I dont feel sorry for him, I think He is an idiot. For someone to buy something for anything over $300 and not know anything about what they are buying. That is what forums are for, to learn, but it would of helped to report back to the forum and ask before purchasing, or at least take it to a mechaninc.

BTW I havnt read the whole thing only like the first 5 or so posts.

If I was that guy, I would've damn made sure that the turbo was working and boosting properly before I bought that car. It's probably his first car or sumtn' and sometimes you have to learn things the hard way....This lesson would probably be dont rush into things.

P.S. I can't stand Eclipses. Sorry all you high boosting SOB's

Me, Mike Gonzales, and Ken and his bro were driving back from Chilis in Lancaster during the National Convention and what looked like a Talon TSI and an Eclipse tried messing with us. Me and Mike just reved up a litted and passed him on the right and left (3 lane road, him in middle) He looked rather scared when we did that. I believe Ken was behind him too. LOL...

That guy probably has a cracked manifold or blown turbo. My friend had a cracked manifold in his so it didn't boost very high at all. He bought it for $500, what do you expect and sold it for like $800.

no such thing as bad luck... he didn't read up on turbos, he didn't inspect the car, he bought DSM... oh and it doesn't work, blame it on bad luck

The talon tsi is the FWD, unless it says Tsi AWD. And unless the badging is removed, they always will. The Tsi is the same as the GST mitsubishi, an the Tsi AWD is equivelent to the GSX. As for the plymoth's, I think anything with a 2.0 says GS, whether its turbo, FWD, or AWD. I may be wrong about the laser, but i am positive on the Talon/Eclipse. I wouldn't talk shit about DSM's too bad. The AWD first gen's are a 14.66 quarter mile @ 92.4 MPH stock. *as tested by hotrod magazine, 1989, november issue. They also get a .84 on the pad. Wait, thats not that great. Well they are decent in a straight line.

EDIT: If i didn't want a sexy car like mine below, I would have a 1G AWD DSM.

The first gen talons are the best, they only get slower as they get newer, but too many people are getting talons, so nuts to that.

Get yourslef an AWD talon for winter not too expensive, just make sure to get your boost fluid
