Wastegate Valve Control Solenoid

Hey guys, I've recently just purchased my S15 and found that my car does not have the wastegate valve solenoid. I was wondering does it affect the performance of the car?

I have had other owners test my car and they find that my car is slightly laggier without the solenoid.

I was wondering, do I actually need the solenoid or can I replace it with a electronic boost controller? Will it act as the same?? What about the original socket?

What is your vacum at idle? Max boost?

At idle the vaccum is at about 500mhg and max boost before putting a manual boost controller is 0.5 bar. Now with the manual boost controller its at 0.9.

On high boost is fine, it just building the boost. It feels laggy for a stock.

Btw, I have FMIC, oil cooler and clutch.

But does the solenoid is required for the car? Is it nessassary?
