Here is mine:

I found this on youtube:

Sounds similar, no?

Funny thing is, it just started doing that constantly. I didnt drive it, but I'd just cranked it up after I finished doing a compression test, and got 160-162 on ALL 4 because Im about to try and sell it. Go figure.

sound familiar to me reminds me of my sister;s car when she didnt change her oil for over a year and a half. but thing is that she had bent valves and valve stems.

it could be that as you say or the other.

That's not good, as my timing chain is also rattling...

sounds like the knock gets louder as you rev.. almost sure its a rod knock, if you can hear it near the bottom.

get a mech's stethoscope and use it to listen to the bottom end. good luck.

i found this page very helpful back in the day when i was trying to diagnose scary noises inside my engine.

It really does sound like rod knock. You can use a stethescope to nail it down, but it really does have the sound and intensity of a bottom end knock, not head noise.

I guess that's enough said, as well as a few other rod knock vids.

This is a fucking joke.
