View Full Version : Best prices for o2 sensor(s)?
Since gas prices are through the roof, I'm gonna try and improve my gas mileage. Whats the best place price-wise to get the o2 sensors at? Should I go with OEM ones from the dealer or an aftermarket brand? I've seen the OEM ones over $100 each, I believe my S14 needs 2 of them, so thats kinda pricey....and I've always had bad experiences with the BOSCH brand products so I'm not sure what to do.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

SR or KA? most o2 sensors are identical, it comes down to fat, skinny, 2 wire, 3 wire, etc. universal for the win :)
oh yea.. o2 sensor measures up to about 750F, A/F measures 950F. some odd shit like that, in case anyone was interested in the difference....fun fact i learned from working at toyota haha.

Ive used bosch and so far no problems 30 bucks with tax included and with the oem connector. Try other parts houses and investigate what other ones they have for less $$$

I was planning on doing this also. If you trying to save some mpg try crc maf cleaner. I noticed about 25+ miles to the tank.

Nissan doesn't make their own 02 sensors. They out source it from other companies like NGK and Bosch.

How much Justin?
Edit: Someone gave me "screw you" for a neg rep... oh wells  haha
Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna go with the NGK/NTK brand wherever I find cheapest. Do I need to change the rear o2 sensor after the cat or is the one in the engine bay most important?

People, all narrowband O2 sensors are the same. They're not accurate to begin with, and they get clogged pretty easily. There's no point in spending OEM money. Save your $$$ for a wideband.
You should get a universal unit that threads in and has the same number of wires. Generally on the SR the middle wire is signal and the two outside wires are non-polar 12V power. Universal O2 sensors will have 1 wire of one colour (usually black) and 2 wires of another colour (usually white).
Clip the harness off the old O2 sensor and solder it on to the new one. Put on some insulation to shield it. Save yourself $50.
