Did a couple searches here, and on other forums, and can't find so much information on this swap. I just so happen to have a a Fluidyne Integra radiator and my s14's radiator needs to be replaced. Can anyone shed some light?

Never heard of this ever. What's the advantage? If no advantage, what's the point?

if the inlets and outlers line up or are close, and the radiator is close to fitting use it.

The radiator is close to fitting and the in/outlets are in the correct locations but there is said to be some fabrication required. Something along the lines of some bracketry and I wanted some info on it before I dove into it.

ok guys.... Putting a different radiator in is NOT rocket science. If it fits, go for it. Radiators are all basically constructed the same. A Honda radiator and nissan radiator look the same inside, it's just the inlet/outlet locations that are different. Even if they are different, a little creativity with hoses will work in some applications.

Why fluidyne mr memphis?- Its prob. a 3 core alluminum... Fluidynes are decent stuff.

The only thing I would worry about is possible airflow over the entire core.

Personally, I would probably sell the Integra radiator on honda-tech, and then pick up a Koyo from one of the vendors on this site....no fabircation needed, and you know they work excellent per application.

The thing I would worry about is most Honda's have super super dinky radiators. This isnt one of them is it?.......Nissan's run hotter then Hondas requiring a radiator with more surface area. Most Hondas when you open the hood the cooling system only takes up 1/2 of the available space

Wow, you guys are all newbs. Integra Fluidyne radiators have been a common fitmnet in 240s for years until they started making ones that fit our cars. I've seen them in numerous cars during the earlier years. From what I remember you just make new top brackets, otherwise it's a drop in.

How hard is it to make brackets? Jesus, people. (Yes I blasphemed on this holy day)

Happy Easter Bitches.

<----admitted newb.
When I think of Honda radiators, I think of radiators that are about 8" wide (ok ok, about half of the size of a normal radiator), and dinky as can be.
Thanks for the history lesson, old man.

what about the 1/8" difference in the inlet/outlet of the integra radiators, just tighten the clamp and go?

And there it is.

Before and after pictures. Not done yet but test fitting works. The lower mounting holes don't match up so I'm not sure what to do there. And the inlet/outlet diameters are indeed different sizes, I found out the hard way. Maybe I all I have to do is tighten it even more. The top brackets seem to work fine.

Lower or upper, I knew one set was off. It's been years since I heard anything discussion about it.

R240, do you remember how people dealt with the lower mountings for the radiator? The integra's radiator is spaced about 4 inches (plus or minus some) wider on each side. I was thinking about making a plate bracket to bolt to the 240's stock location and have a hole on the opposite side for the lower mount on the radiator to fall in. Any other suggestions?

Sounds like a plan, I don't recall any details told to me, but that's how I would do it as well if in that situation.

that would probally be your best bet to make a bracket like that, unless you want to shave off the lower mounting things and then weld them about 4in.(or whatever distance its off) closer so they drop right in the factory holes

your completely joking right?

*edit*

sorry I was thinking of the tiny radiators all motor cars use

To deal with the gap between the 240 hoses and the radiator inlet/outlet, the gap is about 4mm from published numbers, I was thinking about getting those water sensor adapters that are the newest hot thing on ebay. On the hose side it would fit like normal, but then on the radiator side I would make a coupler using the hose from the integra. Since it's the same size, there shouldn't be a leak connecting to the radiator but it would have to stretch 4mm in diameter to for the adapter. Any other suggestions? Like I said before I tried just tightening the clamp down but still got leaks.

in this guys situation i would say go for it. but anyone who goes out of their way this day in age to swap an integra radiator....

wrap the outlet on the rad in electrical tape or something. ive seen people do this at autozone all the damn time.
