I have already searched and found some threads but the pics do not work in them anymore.
I am looking for the cleanest way to do things in the engine bay. I was planning on getting a distribution block and running everything through that. Right now the positive from the trunk is just run up and connected to the end of the stock postive cable. And with the other 2 accessory power wires that originally go to the battery, it is just a big mess. My old S14 I just ran the wire up and bolted it to the positive on the starter but I am not a huge fan of that either.

I dont have pics of the stuff, but I will do my best to describe it.
I started by buying a wiring relocat kit, then your box of choice, battery of choice. Then I ordered a remote jumper post from JEGS. I installed the post in the engine bay just above the "frame rail" on the vertical up and down part of the engine bay. On the front part, that would be used as the remote jumper post, I connected the stock possitive cable. on the back side in the fenderwell, I connectred the possitive cable to go to the back.

So I just did a KA-T install and I didn't even bother relocating the battery. I just grabbed my poor DD Civic, jerked the battery, shoved the fuse box over and mashed the battery in there.
Works good. I'll have some pictures tonight!

I bought a westco battery it sucked. Died after not using for 10 days. I use duralast gold from autocenter. 10 year warrenty 3 year free replacement. Just got a brand new battery this year(forgot to remove ground over winter).
These batteries don't like being completly drained, if you do they are trash. Thats where the 3 year free replacement comes in handy. Not sure of the battery number off hand but CCA was 475

^ have you tried a lawnmower one from auto zone? I use one and it drained completely at work leaving headlights on for over 8 hours. Had the fleet mechanic jump/charge it, and it started right up and still has been running good for over a year after that incident.
benefitx: clean setup. Why did you mount behind driver's side as opposed to the passenger side? unless it's rhd. There a reason for the capacitor? those are 99.9% useless even in an extreme sound system.

Here's my set-up. It's a 300CCA battery from TSC ($34.95). It sat for 6 months in storage and started right up. I've never had any problems with it!

I just moved the fusebox under the dash.
Once you do that, relocating the battery is cake since you don't have to find a way to run it through the firewall.

I wish I could have, but I did not want to have to add wire to the harness.
I ended up cutting mine and fishing it back through the dash, then just making a little subharness to go to the HLs, signals and fans.
I'm probably going to redo that so that the signal and HL/fan wiring goes through the framerails and is hidden. That corrugated crap on the core support pisses me off to no end
I kinda winged it, if I had done my research I would have found out that you can just disconnect the harness at the SMJ and pull it through.
My fusebox is mounted where the glovebox would be. It's kinda just hanging there at the moment until I make sure that everything is working okay before I make brackets and hang it behind the glovebox permanently.
One thing it made WAY cleaner was the battery though. You can just run it under the console to the trunk.

Uhhh, here. FA, Nico, google random ass sites, ask people who have done it before, re-read the FSM for the 50th time, etc.
