I think red would look great on the back of a sandwich with a side of 14 baby black bear cubs???????? that's about what I got out of that question. Could you be a little more vague? What rear, what sides?
heres my combo: JDM front bumper, trust gracer front lip, JDM zenki sides, JDM kouki rear, JDM kouki rear valences.
OEM lip sits real high, I don't think any aftermarket chit will line up .

not to mention the OEM lip is rediculously expensive.

honestly, who cares? install what YOU like, not what everyone else likes.
russian says stock aero is boring.
yeah? stock aero is all urethane, not like the shit fiberglas being sold in the aftermarket.
i'll take whatever fits snug and doesnt explode on impact. fuck trend. who wants aftermarket aero if its trendy and everyone else has it. honestly, its like 300% of the cars i see nowadays have long flat aero parts on the bottom of the car - its SO common and boring.
keep it clean..

FYI---vertex,msport,nismo, and gp sport sideskirts and rear match the stock lip height pretty well and still not aggressive looking.
but most people don't mix stock urethane with fiberglass.
the best advice i can give you is build the car base on your taste and purpose.
drift car has drift car style, street car has street car style, gt car have gt car style, like burgerking says have it your way.

its YOUR opinion. and i respect that. im SICK of running stock. it gets old. i dont care for it anymore. it is in fact a choice.
who cares if it rips, crack etc? i'll take it off and fix it. and respray it again.
I got what I WANTED. I dont care if someone else has it. I like MY car the way I want. And there is simply nothing wrong with that either. There was a request for an opinion and i gave it. so live with it comrade.

This thread is gay. Why do people need the approval of a group of other people they don't even know?
No one's opinion matters except your own, bottom line. If you like it, do it.

dont hate, appreciate.
reality is, you and i are best friends. best buddies forever. you just happen to be, my russian opposite.
remember the movie scarface? those who want the chicas, champain, flash - they dont last in this business. have fun taking off your fiber-aero and respraying it everytime you run over something. thats just not for me, thats all.
anyway, we all know russians LOVE the flash. go ahead, hate me for stereotyping.. cause i say it how it is. jesus, i went to highschool and had TONS of russian friends. they love fancy shit. i just happen not to give a slightest fuck about having a car that has a fancy body kit and such.

but on the real... Sam made a good point at one of the DP meets...
If you're gonna track the car, and you want a s14, go Zenki.
S14 kouki is too "nice" to toss around at the track... especially since your username has something to do with being insane and being a drifter...

Complete and utter bullshit. Of all the reasons to pussy out of going to the track, "but it's a kouki" has to rank as one of the lamest (along side "i'd rather street race" or "but i'm scared" or "i spent my money on autocross!" or "why?".
Dousan had s14 kouki, it was built up and tracked to hell.
Turdz had super ultra fuckin clean s14 kouki, stock suspension even, still hit the track to develop his skills
Hell, Yuri put an s14 kouki front end on his s13 coupe and also tears it up.
Your front end is not an excuse.

i think by sam saying kouki front ends are too "nice" he was trying to imply that they are too "expensive" to replace everytime you crash, especially for noobs at track. i dont think he was trying to imply that kouki front ends are too "nice" in that they are ultra rare beautiful thing that shouldn't be tracked and just driven street/car showed.
ask xander, he use to have an s13 silvia front end on his fastback. crashed it.. too expensive to replace everytime so xander started collecting pop up front end parts. lol.

I've seen many people look for 97-98 240sx, pick one up remove the interior, put a cage in, and swap out the motor.
Why? it's such a waste of money. you can buy a zenki for alot less, use the difference to put in better suspension, better brakes, or even a kouki front end if you must have it.
Our old D1 S14 had a kouki front end, we sold it so that we can use the money for suspension upgrades and also we had 2 zenki front end to use a spare(the car was build to hit the wall)
A car is a tool, pick the right one and build it correctly and use it effciently and you can spend alot less to achieve your goal.
As for zenki vs kouki looks, everyone has their own taste.
All I can say is when my car(the white one above) was stock 95(I drove around for 1 1/2 year like that) no one said anything.
The day I swap out the front end to a kouki, everywhere I go everyone said nice car.
Yes, most of them are girls =)

Whoa whoa there cowboy... Don't get all crazy and make accusations...
I'm not sure but you're reply came off a little harsh man.
I do track my car and honestly, I haven't heard the excuse "but it's a kouki" for those who don't track their car...
Plus, I was just saying that with a zenki or even a cheaper s13, It would be much easier to push your car and take advantage of the seat time you get at a track event.
Sam explained that if you're too scared about damaging your car or what not, you most likely won't learn as quickly as someone who doesn't really care and just drives the crap out of their car. Now, I'm sure that there are plenty of people who learned how to drive well with a "nice" car but for the majority, it would be a better learning experience if they weren't worried about their car and just drove it.
And yea, the money factor plays a role too,... for broke ass jokers like me :keke:
ANYways... this is going off topic so I'll leave it at that. :2f2f:

well if u have a nice car and worry too much hit up parkinglot events. dont go to a actual track with guard rails the first time. thats fuckin dumb.
learn and progress at your own pace.

I know about someone who swtich to a s15 front and is switching back to pop-ups. He was worried about busting his lights and having to order new ones. So yes, it was holding him back some and he noticed.
You could always remove the headlamps before you hit the track. A kouki bumper doesn't cost anymore to fix then a s14 zenki, s15 or even a s13.

04-07-2007, 11:53 AM
So it's not the car thats holding you back, its the pussy mindset. That's no better. It's a 240sx, get over it.
You're not damaging some uber-rare supercar. The reason we own 240sx's is their cheapness.

04-07-2007, 11:56 AM
haha....if u are worried about busting your lights you shouldnt be drifting. because when you do wreck it will be more than just lights.

blue 3m masking tape. If it's good enough for 911 and m3, or even Sti and EVO guys, it's good enough for your schnazzy s15 front end.

heres what i was gonna do:
jdm k's bumper comboed w/ gracer lip (kouki). for sides and rear, go with final konnexion or ings R-Spec. everything flows to a tee but its a lil' pricey. my .02.
it's funny how some of you guys think of a kouki-s14 or silvia-front s13 as if it's a ferrari. If the owner can have one of those car and track it, then it means he/she can afford it. different strokes for different folks.
No different than people tracking their GTS ae86, those parts are much harder to come by.
