I edited a little, I was hoping for a little more discussion than just "wow neat video." This man is a legend and deserves more than a day on the front page of the video thread.

I know there was a couple threads a while back about working out, cutting weight, building muscle and whatnot.

Kazmaier is most definitely a legend in his own, he won it like seven times and was the last American to do so. There hasn't been a significant American contender ever since, every year I expect the Americans to get their asses handed to them by the euro boys and this will continue until we can match or beat the other competitors like this guy:

Magnus ver Magnusson was amazing... that dude was like a beast.. they used to do a test where they'd lift a cummins 5.9L engine block with each arm and carry it about 40 yards. Even weirder was magnus's wife.. She was bigger than he was.. She'd shout shit at him like "come on you sissy.. I could do better"

I saw the first obstacle course with a Japanese guy doing it with 20secs to spare.

Another Japanese test of strength show i saw was with guys throwing beer kegs over a 10 ft tall steel wall.

Because sumo isnt about strengh its about skill. Pro sumo guys who could not lift anywhere near what these guys can could take them out in the event. Thus the event should not be included in The worlds STRONGEST man Comp.

Kazmaier is an animal! Good stuff.

I mainly fight train but also have been doing a lot of strength training lately, and it's paying off. Farmers walks, squats, cleans, grippers, blob's, etc etc.

I just got a weight vest that goes up to 84 lbs! It's insane. I now do everything with it on. Been running, rowing, and rock climbing with it on.

This right here is insane. Maybe in a couple years I will be able to close a #3 but I doubt it. Can't even come close with two hands! Insane.

Been working out since HS and am 31 now. Master fitness trainer in the us army blah blah, and I will tell you the best thing is rowing hands down. If I was only allowed to do one thing it would be rowing.

Try this if you are at a gym worth a dime they should have a row maching. Do a 2000 meter in 6:30. Pure HELL!!!!!!

Also join a rock climbing gym. The second ninja warrior video posted. No reason why every human on this earth can't do that. We are built to run and climb yet most people couldn't climb a monkey gym at the park.

Go watch 300 and get back to the gym!
