its an aftermarket sony head unit and 2 aftermarket speakers, they just refuse to play, they used to come on intermittenly but not at all anymore, im thinking its a loose wire perhaps by the amp? i tried searching for this particular problem but all i found were people saying you have to bypass the factory amps, there isnt anything loose at the amps

okay, this is just sad.
How can you expect to come on here, start a thread that says" they just dont work" and expect to get results?
If you have any kind or car knowledge you would know the first thing to check is all your connections, speaker, amp, head unit.
If you got aftermarket stuff installed you should automatically assume the problem is coming from the install of those items.
This stuff is so elementary that if you didn't know this then you need to sell your car and get one of these:

Seriously put some effort into helping yourself before you expect help from anyone on here. Just a tip.

+1... cmon dude. I can't check it for you, unless you're over at my place. If you run across something you don't get, take a pic and post it. Otherwise let us know when you get it taken care of, so I can sleep easy again...

the stock amp is crap anyways. Run your own wires from the doors to the deck and from the rear speakers to the deck. You don't need to be a space engineer to get it done. Then remove the stock amp, place it on the ground and proceed to smashing that sh!t to pieces...trust me, its fun. I know from experience.
