Lookin around Takakaira.com, I saw this in the aero kit section for Nissan.

Has anyone seen this or heard of it before? I'm thorougly intrigued by it.

Sil80Girlie and I were seriously considering this kit and actually got Takakaira to respond. According to Takakaira, the kit is actually not even made until someone orders it and this usually takes a month. Additionally, the cost of shipping is pretty steep as well. We didn't inquire about the fenders alone so I can't help there.

Here's the body of the email they sent me back:

Was that the response in it's entirety?

I'm just wondering what all is included in the kit? would that be with the spacers for the hood and a radiator mount for correctly mounting the headlights? or is it just for the front fascia and side skirts? etc etc...

Over $700 just for shipping... WOW!

I thought about this: Maybe the shipping was a TYPO. Maybe it was supposed to say 7,500 yen. I thought about though, I'm pretty sure its NOT a typo. Cause that would only be around $70. Thats too cheap. If you ask me, I think $700 is a lot for shipping, you could almost get a container.

Yeah that is the full body of the letter. I figured the shipping would be over $500 considering the fact that we live in Dallas. We did order the DSpeed 13 Clear fenders markers from them and that went pretty smoothly. They are pretty legit from what I've seen/heard.

The West Yokohama kit does not include the front bumper support and I'm not sure if you would even need any brackets for the hood, because it "appears" that each kit is custom made. That would tell me that if I told them I had an S13, they would send me the hood to fit onto an S13 without mods, but who knows.

Sil80Girlie has ended up goin with a carbon fiber hood and fenders from VIS.....we'll see how crappy the quality really is in a couple of weeks. It's been hit and miss with me and VIS, because the Blitz replica I ordered for my Supra was very nice. Fitment was excellent.....so I guess we're just crossing our fingers for these fenders.

Wish us luck!

It costs me around 1500 to 2000 yen to send a RPS13 Rear garnish to California. With 7000 yen, I can send some headlights. 70,000+ yen will probably get you a space on a container, with enough room for a boxed up engine. For around $3000+, you can probably rent a 20 ft container, but this is not including customs clearence, tariffs, etc...

worried about your credit card... get a new credit card, purchase the kit, pay it off, cancel the card. my mom used her credit card at the vatican.... THE VATICAN of all places in the world, the most holy place, and someone stole her credit card number and was using it.. it had to be one of the people working there because that was the only place she used it in italy.. anyways, lots of people do that when they travel abroad, just get a new credit card, use it there, then cancel it.
