The good:
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, SR20's are plug and play.... but thats not really convertible specific.

Slam it. Aero. Wide fenders front and rear. Nice wheels. Good paint... It'll be a drop-top panty dropper.

I like my vert :p. It's automatic... that doesn't stop me from having fun. Convertibles are fun.

there isnt anything wrong with convertables, they can me swapped to manual, they are actually a little bit more stiffer in the rear and because of all the bracing for the top and such...but also heavier. Here is a local one that i love...everything fits on it imo and i would love a vert...put a cage in it and have some fun

all i have to say is that the door panels suck big time, really hard to take off and if a small part pops off the back 1/4 window (the rail that gides the window) your going to have to buy the whole power window set up. but I still love them, they might be heavy and not turn as good as the coupes and liftbacks but its fun to ride and i love it on hot summer nights....

If I had a vert one of the first things to go would be the doors and the factory seat belt system. Those are half the reason they look weird to me.

also, convertible:
1) heavy. 2) flexible like noodles. 3) hard to find parts for (like a roll bar or vert specific replacement parts 4) tops leak, rear windows crack, 5) no security
in general though, the top is always down, and as long as the top is down,
vert is greater.

yeah that's rons old S13 convertable, he sold it to some guy in texas...

then he got a Q45

i had a vert for a while.

it was a cool car to cruise around in during the summer, and chicks loved it, but i wouldnt really build one as a performance vehicle.
