So....I just got a new replica bumper(and yes its fiber glass) cuz my old bumper has too many battle scars from curbs, bushes, and cones.

I tried fitting the bumper the other day and noticed that there were no lower bumper mounting points on a S14. I never had a stock bumper before cuz my car came with an aftermarket bumper when I bought it, so I found it odd that the only thing holding my old bumper and this new one I got were one bolt on each fender and the two bolt between the headlights. I also do not have a bumper support, cuz the guy who owned the car before me took it out when he installed the front mount intercooler and the aftermarket bumper that was on the car when I bought it. Also the center bumper mounting bracket thing broke off on both sides right under the headlights and is currently zip tied on. I think i'ma reweld that those on.

So for you S14 owners out there, did you guys fabricate some kind of lower bumper mounting point? If so, from where to where? am I missing some bumper mounting hardware? I just ordered a new set of bumper mounting hardware from nissan for the fenders. Is there something else I should order?

i have no bumper support but you should at least have the bumper retainer which i think is the piece that you described, that bolts on under the headlights and stuff. on mine i made brackets that go from the frame rails to the bumper retainer so it dosent flop around, and also on the bottom of the bumper to the same point on the frame rail. its rock solid. and its getting fucking destroyed if i hit anything

From the factory the engine undercover holds the bottom edge of the bumper pretty well, but most aftermarket bumpers won't allow it to reattach. Just make two brackets, bolt them to the core support.

+1 for home made brackets they'll be fine or you can cut up a bumper reinforcement if u must
