I just got my Timing chain, tensioners and guide replaced.
When I got it back ... the guy set the idle to high.
I cant find the idle screw on the throttle. Any ideas?
Its a KA24E 90 240sx ...
It's idle'in at about 850 in gear, 1000-1200 out of gear.
I know in gear should be 700 +50/-50, and out should be
about 1000 correct? Dont wanna put more wear on the
engine. Thanks!

type in Idle Air Control Valve or IACV or Idle Adjustment in the Search here or on Freshalloy. I'm not sure where exactly the adjusting screw is on the KA24E (never messed with it) but it's near the back of the intake plenum. Look for a plastic, Phillips-head screw. Turn in to lower the idle (with TPS disconnected). Set at 700, then plug the TPS back in...it should go up a tad. There you go. This is in the FAQ at 240sx.org.

Hmmm . I tried checkin the Search, not much came up for the location of the Screw to adjust the idle. I have a s13, '90 240sx ... everyone has told me the location for the s14 ... unless maybe I'm just blind (which is usually the case!<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
I looked behind the throttle, to the right of it and down.
Someone said its a plastic phillips head screw? Grrr..
Any ideas? Thanks guyz.
Peace.

go to 240sx.org (http://www.240sx.org)and click on the FAQ. scroll down to the stuff about "Idle" and there you have it. there are like 4 on this topic alone.

Actually, does anyone have a picture of the idle adjust screw on the s14? I've looked a few times now...I might just be blind.
Much appreciated, my 2k-idling 240SX will thank you too.
