Question ... nebody ever hear a flowmaster muffler on a
240sx?  How does it sound, I dont want ricie .. and i dont
want annoying tin canny sounds ... Im lookin to replace my
muffler to start off cuz I dont have the money for an apexi
N1 Dual ... so I may go with a Flowmaster muffler, aluminum
straight connector pips and a catco converter later on!

Thanks for your opinions...

Hmmm. I've got Flowmasters on my Fairlane and they are real throaty and deep sounding (not exactly street legal though). I'm not sure how they would sound on a 4 cyl. car though.

Do they make a muffler specific for 4s? If so I'm possitive that quality and sound would be well above par.

My freind had one on his 94 Prelude V-Tec.  It also had a header too.  It didnt sound too bad.  I thought it kinda sounded like a lil race car.  I wish I could give you a sound bit of it but he sold it.  Ohh by the way it was a 40 series flowmaster.

I used to own a Ultraflow muffler on a different car. Flowmaster-Ultraflow same ISH.  Dont look for anything to big performance wise unless you plan to let the muffler shop do cat back Mandrel bend pipping as well.  I think Apex makes a universal muffler. Ya' here is the link: APEX'i (http://www.apexi-usa.com/exhausts_universal.asp)

IMO, After owning one of the "FLow" mufflers, dont get one.  Spend a little more, for the Apex universal or a full cat back exhaust. If not, you'll drop $300 on a piece of shit.

Thanks for the replys!

Yea, I heard the flowmaster 40 series on a friends 300ZX, it
was REAALLL Deep... that is why I asked.  As for Apexi,
they are the best .. BUT of course Apexi = best = $$$ ...
something which I dont have to much of right now to throw
into the car.

I was also thinking borla!  Apexi universals go over a hundred
bucks ... I was hoping to go under that right now!

Thanks.
