Hey guys,
I have purchesed my tickets for USA today, I will be leaving here ( australia ) on May 3rd 2007.I plan to stay in the states for 6-9 weeks depending on a few things.
Basically i want to ask for a small sponsership :
I will need a car for the track to slide and enter D1 , and other competitions there. etc
Accomodation help ( obviously i will pay for accomodation)
I will pay for maintenance of vehicle and damage ( if any )
If there is anyone who can help please PM me
I will be coming with a freind of mine who wants to watch and check out the scene there so it will be good.

Check out www.driftbattle.org for more info.

I dont knwo how it works in aust. But how you present your proposal leaves little to warrant commitment. even commitment by a forum member. You should be calling HKS usa, etc, and send them a proposal. Your (wow) 2 years of exp makes me want to lend you a 500hp fd........not.\ :naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

Hey mate,
I have a 450PS drift car in aus, with over 50,000 of mods. I dont care about an FD with 500hp or whatever it has done to it.
And actually anyone half smart wouldn't judge a driver by there amount of years drifting, it is like buisness. Not all old people are successfull and most new buisness's are allot better then older one ;)
Take a look at UENO, i wouldn't even put 5 bucks on him over a D1 SL driver.... he is terrible.
Thanks for your post :hs:

You should know better Ueo used to drive the Jblood Hatch... he also drives an S15. Someone has his drivers mixed up. Ueno drives the Vertex Soarer and if you think you can smoke Ueno hahahaha. I laugh in your face. You would get owned by both drivers... no questions.
Ueno also happens to be the father of Vertex aero. Every single japnese car you've drifted Ueno has owned. "R32 Skyline Type M, AE86 Trueno, FC3S, Soarer, 180SX, S14, S15, Z33, Altezza, JZX100 Mark II, Mark X, etc."

Funny how you edit your post so you don't look stupid. But everyone including you were talking about Ueo not Ueno... dummy. hahaha

Why don't you just ship your 50,000penny drift car over here and show us Americans how it's done. Kiwi.

You need to hire someone to put together a proposal for you. Then define your target demographic, and tell them why you full fill it.
Why are you running from AUS anyways? Drift Scene there is way hotter, and easier to get into.
Or did Robbie Bolger make you his bitch?
Flybert

Maybe you can start by answering this question. What pro series did you drive in last year and what did you place overall? How many podiums?
Why is everyone being such a dick to him? He's just asking for some help and 75% of the people that responded had nothing to offer him but negative comments. Maybe people are different about their cars in Australia and are more willing to let other people drift them, but that's no reason to be a dick to this guy.
Anyway Alex, good luck with your search. I don't have a car to offer you but if you need a place to stay in the Atlanta area, let me know. I have an extra bedroom in my condo that's located about 25 minutes from Road Atlanta where they do Formula D in mid May.

Mate != Aussie accent.
He was making all his point without cursing or name calling.
He could easily just tell you to shut the fuck up and not thread jack his uh..thread.
Blah blah blah.
Hopefully you get the point.

Im sorry man but this is rediculous. You can be top shit over there but here, you work your ass up to the top. You move over here, build your car, track your car, enter events and hope you get seen by a company. If your lucky you will make it big. Its not like theres like 10 people that go and try to make it big in drifting over here.
You need to quit being a douche, bring your so called bad ass "450ps drift car" over here. You dont need a 450ps car to drive every day. bring it over, get a trcuk and trailer it rather then try to get people to give you cars whome dont know shit about you. An 18 second video doesnt cut it here bud. Come over, show your shit, if you got it then people will see it, and you will be set.
Its pathetic and just plain out stupid people get on forums thinking theres extremely rich people who want to throw there hard earned money at some guy nobody knows nothing about. Drbaby? think that was his name, he had an excuse for people to throw a couple bucks to him. That sucked, but then again it happens all the time. Anyway, :mrmeph:

If you got the money and connections
You can always take short-cuts.
Also, it's not like he is willing to just use the car for free.
He will be paying for all the damages and the extra cost to use the car...

Actually if you'd been around for longer than since you got your driver's license (45 minutes?) you would know who Dr. Baby is. He's been around for quite a while, just not all over the forums because he's too busy driving. He had a good excuse to ask for cheddar (which he didn't, someone else posted the thread for him)
So, stop being a dumbass trying to flame someone about something you simply DON'T KNOW about. Have you ever gotten a sponsorship for drifting?
What he's trying to do actually IS feasable. He's just going about it all wrong

Unless you're Sam Hubinette.. Then you come over here, get a 350z rental from Hertz, and go tear it up at a D1 drivers search.
Or go to carmax, buy a car, drift it, sell it back

Good luck to you man. If you work hard enough for what you want that's all it matters. There's meets all over LA if your going to be in the area. The majority of the shops that you would want to speak with are in the LA area. But there's way too many drivers here needing help with their rides and sponsorships.
By the way, just curious and not to bash you or anything like that but why wouldn't you be bringing in your car here to the states to drive?
Good luck
