haha
I always hated driving rx-7's. I dont know what it is, maybe that you are sitting ontop of the rear wheels, makes some kind of weird inner ear balance thing in my head... makes me sick.
Welcome back to the dark side luke!

what was the original reason for joining the rotary club if I might ask?
and how does the rex differ as far as driving feel?
(obviously I've never driven one; closest I came was a non-turbo FC... not impressive in any way)

I always knew you would come back haha. Its like once youve had a 240 you eventually come back to it even if you had moved on to better things.

Should be a fun build.

What brakes are those? My stock GTO brakes suck.

so will the s14 be running an LS1 since you've seemed to have very few mechanical issues with the FD ???

Ls series moters are reliable. That has allready been proven by people before me. I just live the power, tq, sound, rel, etc.
LS7 stock for 07 540hp with a warranty. Same price as a fully built sr. =Win
I know its more than most of us have for an initial investment but in the long run it makes sence.

I expect a beastly car. Better start thinking about some HUGE wheel/tire combination.

ls7 in a s14 would be insane, cant wait to see the build and yes...those rx7's are weird s-chassis for life lol

pm me if u need any GM performance parts or any OEM GM parts. i got access to all the dealer parts and performance catalogs and part #'s. i work at a GM parts warehouse and can get ANYTHING for wholesale and sometimes cheaper. last thing i checked a price on for someone was a GTO oil pan. list is like $460, i was able to get it for ~$215. let me know.

haha, I kind of agree... I like the chasis, I hate the motor.
sr20det in fd.
I dont know V8s are great for drifting. because it requires less skill to keep the tires spinning and easier throttle control in a drift. of course with a loc'd diff the car will spin out just as easiliy if your a putts.
well good luck...
whats wrong with nissan V8s?
I think theres equal aftermarket for them as there is as the newest string of chevy motors at least on the affordability side...
LS1 is cheap that makes sense, LS7 not as cheap...

luke: the brakes are factory but are garbage, that car is kinda cheesy as far as suspension goes. The LS7 will be a beast!! look forward to seeing that.
Ray: I don't want your gay porn, i get enough junk email through work email, haha

Fire wall was not hacked on the FD. just the tab was bent up and tack welded.
$30,000 is what the fd was sold for.

Interesting pic of the garage with the GTO and the S14. I was like, that's not Luke's garage but it will house the same cars when the 14 is in there. lol. I think the corvette brake upgrades fit on the gto Luke.
