hahaha... we got tandem battles at Altamont... NorCal rocks. What kind of fun is it when you don't have anything to crash into. Ah well... at least every once in a while someone will understeer and hit the outside wall...

Yeah, the comp course was a lot of fun! The tandem drivers put on a hell of a fight!
The only people that complain about the parking lot events are the ones who will never go anyway. Some people act like they were born jaded wannabe pros, but most of us learned to drift in parking lots.
The real heart of drifting is the guys that want to learn and want to drive and just want to have fun.
That's what parking lots are for.

Shaddap Colin!
I'm not trying to start a fight. I just don't think criticism of beginner/intermediate parking lot events is a useful thing. They are safe and legal venues for people to get a TON of seat time and get some instruction and really enjoy themselves. They afford multiple course layouts (we run two courses and a skidpad), and the opportunity to change the course from one event to the next so that drivers can learn something new and stay interested every time they go.
But if people want to compete and smash their cars into concrete walls, we offer that too!

Again I dont prefer parking lots. A big lot like golden gate fields was fun, but from the parking lot events i have attended it is usually in a small space with with alot of people.

Ok... what's your point?
You live a few hundred miles away, and you aren't a beginner. You have never come to one of our events to learn and practice, and I sincerely doubt you ever will.
So why do you care if we have beginner/intermediate cone-courses and skidpads for people to learn and have fun?

parking lot events are great places to start. not everyone can go into irwindale speedway and drift the d1 track against a wall and on slope on day 1. and this is legal so it keeps people from street drifting and either breaking their cars are even worse hitting someone. so props for putting these events together and i hope that people continue to go and support your events!

I dont care. Infact at our events we have skid pads and cone courses as well. I was trying to imply that on the video that was posted, the one from the comp looks awsome, and the one in the parking lot looks well like a parking lot course. Nothing wrong with that.

I tend to not make alot of sense anyways Colin.
Thats true though. I should have worded it differently. I was not hating on any of the actual driving. or the video itself. I was just trying to say that the parking lot action didnt look as exciting as the comp footage.
