aftermarket tach on sr

atfer all this time trying to figure out my tach problem im just gonna get a atermarket one ftw. since the sr has coil packs iwould i have to get that msd box? The reason im askinging this is because ive heard that u can use the tachs w/o the box by wiring the tach signal up to the positive wire on one of teh coil packs? is that true

my suggestion to you is just to tun a wire down by the ecu and splice into the harness if i remember correctly the wire goes up toward the dash plug and is a yellow with a red stripe.
