300ZX/FairladyZ/Z32

Ok, so I got some pics of a Z32 and it looks just like the US 300ZX. I happen to know that the Fairlady Z is what the ZX is called in Japan. So where does the Z32 come into play?

I know its a newb question but guess what: I AM a newb when it comes to foriegn cars!

"Z32" is the chassis code for the '90-'99 300ZX and Fairlady Z.  It's just used to describe them generically, just like "S13" includes Silvias, 180SXs, 200SXs, and 240SXs.  It's also used to indicate that year range specifically versus the '84-'89 300ZX and Fairlady Z (which is called the "Z31").

Im pretty sure Z32 is the chassis code, like our S13 and S14... Fairlady Z is just the 300zx in japan (not very popular from what i've heard) and of course the 300ZX over here (which was pretty popular). I think Z31 was the older generation of 300's, my friend has an 85 Turbo 300, its pretty quick for a 17 year old car.

Yes they are right. And most Z owners hate it when people have a USDM Z32 and call it a Fairlady. Kinda like callin a 240SX a Silvia. Just to let you know. And remember GIJoe tought us "That Knowing Is Half The Battle" and that you can steal Barbie away from Ken If you own a Aztec Red Z32 TT. (Can you remember that commercial?) Ohh damn now im rambling.

At least a 300zxTT has the same (if not better) performance than a JDM Fairlady Z. &nbsp;It's apples and apples, where 240sx and Silvia are apples and oranges...
