Buy a harness for your headunit/buy a new headunit that comes with one.
Match colored wires.
Have a drink.
This may help.

+1
if you get the conversion harness, you don't have to touch the factory wires at all. It's great. And future owners won't curse your name for making the job 10x harder.

You can do what i did for my stereo. Drive to the car stereo area of Downtown LA and have a mexican guy do it. Best deal in town. And always quality work!!

there are several good shops nearby, whether you're looking for authorized dealers or installers? it depends what you are looking for specifically, brands and etc

On E.14th a.k.a International ave, there are alot of stereo places. My uncle got his system hooked up at "The Sound Factory" and they did a good job, I also got my alarm installed there on my old fastback.

dang... still trying to figure it out??
the wiring schematics were listed up there.... dont be afraid to get your hands dirty because its really NOT very hard and will save you money to install it yourself.. plus you feel better about your stereo since you installed it yourself!
just buy a cheap soldering iron from radio shack, some wire strippers and Electrical tape from ACE, find a nice day to work on cars and finish it.

I aint even gonna lie, the first time around I disconnected the stock harness too, I just didnt know they made harness's for certain stereo applications. The mexican way is the way of the 240, cheap and good as long as it works.
