alright here is my story

before winterr one of my rear brake pads was almost worn completly, so i parked the car in my driveway when it snowed and i accidently left the ebrake up while it was parked.

at the end of january there was a solo ice dice event and i wanted to take my car out, as i was pulling out of my driveway my brake pedal sank right to the floor and go out to check, there was brake fluid all down my driveway and nothing in the resevoir left.

so i pull it back into its spot and didnt touch it until a ffew days ago, i put some brake fluid in the res (1/2 bottle of fluid till it was overflowing) and put the cap on and pumped the brake, and it was stiff as hell, i thought if i had a leak, it wouuld push most of the air out.

i check my rubber lines to the calipers and i saw no leaks

anyone?

Obviously, your brake fluid tried to migrate south for the winter. Unfortunately, it only made it as far as the driveway.

Check the system again, thoroughly. Not just the lines and brakes either. Make sure you check the BMC as well. There has to be a leak somewhere. Fluid doesn't just take a vacation from your car.

the more i think of it, i believe the fluid on the driveway was power steering fluid, the was coming out from the cap for some reason, but thats another thread.

the brakes i can push now, except they feel really soggy, i dont think all the fluid was leaked out, but its weird that it would drop to the floor, then become stiff later on.

i searched and read about bad m/c and brake boosters. can anyone verify if im on the right track?
