My bushing install is now complete... total cost was $330. That was wrapped up last night. That same night at around midnight me and my freind went spinning cookies in a parking lot, upon exiting the parking lot I locked my front brakes up, understeered, and rammed a curb. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> No body damage though, luckily, for I also hit a pole. My T/C rod took all the pressure when it broke, and it saved my fasica, and a $300 rim. From this experience, I realized how much a close call can make you look differently at things. I thought i had trashed my front end, possibly damaged my radiator when i hit the pole at the end of the curb.
I thought i'de share...

damn dude that sucks. Did you have the bearings installed professionally, or did you do them yourself? Howd they feel? What brand did you get? etc etc...

Tnord... I know, Carma is a bitch!
SR20fastback...I installed them myself, but I broke two ball joints, and had t replace the A-arms they were press fit into. that is why all the $$$.
And I had not yet aligned the car when It got curb raped, So the thing wandered all over te place. I would not advise anyone to but theese bushings due to difficulty of installaton. Try to find camber plates.
And KiDyNomiTe: I hope you are not refurring to the method of drifting where you hop a curb to get your tires spiining and than get into a slide, because i dont do that. If you dont mean it that way, than I will tell you this... THE CURB HUMPED ME! J/K
Another thing. I am having a little trouble with the tension rod where it attaches to the chassis. I cannot get the bolt out. I have tried vice gripping the bushing, and threading it out, I have tried pounding it from the nut side with a 5 LB hammer, And it wont budge. All i get is the Bushing spinning with the bolt no matter how hard I use the grips... Any suggestions?

Sawzall. What the hell is that? saw the bolt into pieces and get a new one? I have thought about that, but i got kinda fed up with it. I am finding out from nissan how much it costs to install it. If they won't do it cheap, I will buy a bolt from those pissants, and "riggidy-wreck" the other one up with some goold old BFI. And than I'll use the new one.

Yup, mine got bent slightly, so I took the sawzall to it, cuz the nut most of the way off, there was less tension then, enought to get it off... picked up a new one at the salvage yard for free.
