hey there,
maybe you guys could help me out on this one. the last few days i have noticed a very minor leake and when i touched it and obseverd it it looked like water. yesterday i went to go get a tune up and they put in engine coolant, keep in mind that the radiator is fairly new. last night i was driving and on my way home the temperature started to raise and get hot. so i rolled in neutral all the way home. it sat overnight and today in the morn I was on my way to get it washed and the temp started to rise again. do you think i need a new thermostat, water pump or another radiator, maybe hoses.?
maybe from what i described you could help me diagnose.thanks.
and where can I find the thermostat on the engine bay im thinking of replacing it first?

so many possibilities.

but what you can do since you said you noticed a leak. You should fill up your radiator turn the car on and see where these leaks could possibly be comming from.

leaks can come from heater hoses, radiator hoses, radiators, water pump.

cracked or worn hoses create leaks, their is a a handful on a ka that could possibly be causing that.

radiators...self explanatory..

water pump will leak from the weep holes it has, when they go bad they leak.

thermostats will cause the car to overheat but not create leaks. Since you said theirs a leak i doubt this is the problem at the moment.

If It Is Leaking It Is Usually The Water Pump. When They Go Bad They Have A Seep Hole And The Will Start To Leak. If The Car Is Over Heating And You Don't Want To Damage Anything You Can Turn On Your Heater Full Blast And That Will Cool The Car Down At Least To Get You Home.

thermostat sits on the lower rad hose, i believe

find the leak 1st, check for any cracks with the upper and lower hoses

check your thermostat. since u r about to fix it. you need to bleed it, take your thermostat off then get stainless bowl put some water in it then put the thermostat and boil it so you can see if your thermostat opens up when it heats up. well id recommend buy a new thermostat haha

when u checked your thermostat reseal the thermostat housing with a new sealant and do your water pump too. check the waterpump for any freeplay with it. when your waterpump is shot it adds up for having intermittent overheating. then buy new hoses and fresh coolant since you are on it.

when u bleed jack your car as high as you can then take off the radiator cap, start your car and let it run for 15 mins. let the air bubbles burp. keep filling it up until your car wont overheat. just make sure u dont have a leak. if its doable you can replace your rad cap also
