OBO would be great to add up there. It's just a stock 93 240 with ka24e motor. 5 grand seems to be askin alot. Its got nothing aftermarket on it, besides the 150 dollar kenwood head unit. Major Props, that does look like its pristine for sure. Cleanest i've seen yet. also....how many miles does it have? clean title?
good luck with the sale for real tho. im not tryin to rag on you or nothin.

Yes, clean title with 171k miles on the engine and body. The motor is a k24de with a newly swapped s14 tranny. I am open to offers, but like I said no lowballing. This is a diamond in the rough.
^^ Thanks for the advise Met

It actually has a KA24DE but who cares....that's the biggest rip ever. $5000? I was looking with interest until I saw the price. Please post a more reasonable price and you'll get more offers...you're about $1500 too high.

holy shit 173k miles, only S13s with xx,xxx miles on them go for 3500 tops
Your car is at the most 2750

definitely a diamond when compared to a lotta 89-90's....props for keeping it so clean, but i've seen a ton of 93's about the same or better condition for much less. even if the KBB is skewed a little...for 5000, you can get a mildly modified 240sx...at least with coilovers and a suspension setup. 174k is pretty high for a 93 too....

As far as that goes, it's an asking price. I never said I was firm, although many made that assumption on their own. I did state that I am open to offers. So please, offer.

Even thought the price is kinda high, its his car an if he wants 5g's well so be it. If more people would sell their cars for what they are really worth we would'nt have these NOOB LOWBALLERS coming at us when we sell our cars. Goodluck with the sale man!

Not going to mention that a AT->MT swap was performed?
No pics of driver's side?
Clean or not, 5 large is too much. 240sx != gold.

That's correct, it has been converted to a manual, s14 transmission to be exact. I didn't realize this was a critical piece of information, if anything it's advantageous to the buyer. On that same note, the swap was performed by a certified Nissan mechanic. Extra pictures are posted in the link I provided in the first post, but apparently that is too difficult to access for some people:

Apparently everone cynical has something to say and with little constructivity. I've mentioned repeatedly now that I'm open to offers, but I haven't recieved one yet. If there is anyone serious in purchasing the car, please notify me.

Kev, how did you know that it was a AT?
I would drop to like $2,500obo bro. $5k can buy a 220hp SR if not more. GL with the sale though!

...because I see dead people, Alec.
Bluewind: cynicism is a fact of life on the internet. Sorry, that's just life.
I absolutely understand your desire to get the most for your car, and am not attempting to impede your ability to do so. More than anything, I'm trying to help you sell your car effectively and in a timely manner.
I could ask $17k for my 180sx shipped to the states, but I know it's not worth it, and even though I might find some sucker who pays it in a year, it'll be because I'm not forthcoming about it.
Basically, you should be upfront about everything you know about the car, and honest with yourself about it's value. Transmission changing is a big deal, and something future owners should know about. You know what it's worth, and while you should maintain some leeway for dealing with lowballers or facilitating a quick sale, price it fairly - don't go for the gouge.
For me, if I were in the market for another 240sx (and I am by no means in the market - 4 is enough for now), I wouldn't pay more than $2000 for that car - MAYBE $2500 on the high outside. That's not saying there's not someone who'll pay more, that's just what I'd be willing to pay.
You should make it a point to inform buyers of it's flaws. Certainly don't make the car unappealing, but if it's something obvious, point it out. In your OP, you make no mention of the fading clearcoat/paint, holes in the carpet, stains on the carpet/backseats, etc.
Sure it's in the pics, but you should still mention it.
Good luck with your sale - just keep in mind a more realistic figure will get your car sold more quickly and prevent you from dragging it out.

My s13 was just as clean if not cleaner and had 155xxx miles. It is also a base model but mine was a 5 speed and came with se wheels. Here's a pic from when I just bought it:

So I guess you don't like the color haha. Oh well. Sorry if I said something to offend you. And if you are getting all these responses then why hasn't the car sold for what you're asking yet? Never mind, good luck with your sale nonetheless.

if i had that car i would sell it for less too... its a hatch which is much more common and its an ugly color... i bet it even has a brown interrior! thanks for your constructive criticizm but from peoples responses in PMs and calls from auto trader its not needed, they dont seem to have much of a problem with my asking price
If they don't seem to have much problem with your asking price, then how come it isn't sold. It's pathetic how people try to sell a 15 year old car making it seem like it is some kind of jewel. If you haven't noticed, socal is flooded with 240s.

lol.
You're asking way too much for that and you aren't being honest with what you're selling. If I were looking to buy this car, even the slightest hint of you being dishonest would make me lose my interest immediately.
Don't make up stories as excuses, either. They don't work. It is fine to state your opinion, anyway.

ur, dum, u, supose, and sya are not words.
The rest of that jumble is an incoherent mess.
Keep up the attitude and you'll disappear rather quickly.
I understand that it said $4k when you clicked the page, but there were also many posts before you clicked as well.
Watch yourself, your ignorance is showing.

Hey, hey you.
If you don't have anything to say that is conducive to the seller's completing a transaction for the exchange of his car for money, I STRONGLY suggest you shut the hell up.
Again, the first post CLEARLY states that price has been lowered, perhaps you missed that fact?
At the end of it all, arguing with an admin is not the way to ensure you'll be on our forum very long.

I'm on the same page as you. The last thing I would want would be to make this personal. Which was exactly what my friend did and in a very stupid way. If you don't believe me it's understandable. You can only view these threads if you're a member, so I allowed a few to view this one with my sn and password. It's still my fault, but take what you will with that.
Unfortunately this thread has lost it's perspective. The good news is that it will be closing.
