I spent too much on wheels to get a bike. It would be nice to the other people if you would mention the size and color of the helment.

I've got one of these in the Nicky Hayden replica paint scheme, and it's bar non e the best motorcycle helmet out there - fits great (although XXL is HUGE), replaceable everything, and half the weight of the Shoei RF1000 (nearest competitor). Someone try on some Arai's, and if you're an XXL, pick this shit up.

man, I would think bike helmets are a lot safer than auto helmets???

motorcycle helmets are made for one impact, and the foam inside explodes to protect your noggin'... after that they're useless, also bike helmets can easily have the foam explode if you bang your helmet against your car getting in and out, rendering it useless....
shell out the dough for car specific helmets, if used on cars...

another major difference is the lining, which is probably the reason for the crackdown, since moto helmets are up to the impact challenge.
If im not mistaken, all SA rated helmets must have a fireproof lining, where moto helmets do not. In a car fire, a moto helmets lining would melt/catch on fire roasting your noggin.
