Here is the KBB value. How do you justify a 8k asking price when this car in Excellent condition (which your car is not...check engine light?) goes for $6100.
Sell Your Coupe
Vehicle Highlights
Mileage: 123,000
Engine: 4-Cyl. 2.4 Liter
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: RWD
Selected Equipment Change Equipment
Standard
Air Conditioning Power Windows Dual Front Air Bags
Power Steering AM/FM Stereo
Blue Book Private Party Value
Private Party Value is what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private party. The Private Party Value assumes the vehicle is sold "As Is" and carries no warranty (other than the continuing factory warranty). The final sale price may vary depending on the vehicle's actual condition and local market conditions. This value may also be used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation purposes.
Vehicle Condition Ratings Check Vehicle Title History
Excellent $6,135
"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.
Good $5,560
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.
Fair
$4,850
"Fair" condition means that the vehicle has some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. The tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust

Stop being a dick, if theres demand, people will pay the price to play. Whens the last time youve looked up KBB for RX-7s, Supras, MR-2s? Some cars just dont go with KBB. Let him sell his car, its his car anyways...

This is your warning. Stop harassing this guy in his own thread. He can ask whatever price he wants for his car. Yes KBB value is lower than his asking price. These cars go for more everyday! If I see any more negativity in this thread there WILL be a banning.

osus14 is right. I'm very interested and need a new daily driver, but you're too inflexible on that price (thats pretty high), I just skip over it now and keep looking for others more reasonable.

I am trying really hard to find another car for sale that is similar to mine for less money so I can price mine more appropriately but I fail to find anything. I see some s14 going for 6000 or 6500 but are automatic or has more miles or are salvaged or all of the above.
My car is not a bargain or a super deal, but it definitely a fair price for me and the buyer.

i think people are turned away from your posting because someone earlier posted up that you bought it for 6 grand and now you just want to sell it for 7.5k

Let me make this clear, that guy has his facts wrong and he doesnt know what he is talking about. He doesnt know how much I paid for the car and ESPECIALLY doesnt know how much I have already spent on the car in fixing it up. THE CAR WAS NOT IN THE SAME CONDITION IT IS NOW, it was barely running when I bought it.
Second, I am selling a car and I am putting a price on it. This is my price and that is how much I want. I believe it is a fair price for the car. Previous prices have nothing to do with anything. Look at the price and the car for what they are.
would you give your car away for free just because you got it for free from your parents?
would you sell your house for $100,000 because you bought it for $100,000 EVEN THOUGH it is valued at $200,000?
IF the price of my car was grossly overpriced, then maybe I would be in the wrong, but 7500-7950 dollars for a super clean black 5 speed 1998 s14 with 123k miles is nothing unreasonable.

um.... if it wasn't (unreasonable) you wouldn't be getting all this crap about it. honestly, this doesn't happen to every thread. I would actually offer $7k cash, but I'll just take my money elsewhere because it sounds like it'd be a hassle.

Terrible reasoning but I do not want to get into an argument. The reason why I am getting so much crap is because of the rumors spread by oridostyle.
No offense but even if you did actually offer 7k, i would turn you down.
Please refrain from posting if you are not interested in the car. No more "off-topic" arguments and conversations.
