hey all, i was wondering what i should do about my brakeswww.mvpmotorsports.com (http://www.mvpmotorsports.com) has a brembo kit for my S13, or i could go with 300ZX TT pads. which do you think would be better for my car.

also, if i got the 300Zx's, id have to get new rims too, right, because i have hubcaps now....let me know, thanks

I think what you mean is 300zx TT calipers...not pads. Anyways, the 300zx calipers are much much much cheaper, so if you are on a budget, go with those. Yes, you would have to get new rims also, stock SE rims on a 95+ 240 would be sufficient and you should be able to find them for relatively cheap.

Brembos, they are gods when it comes to brakes, that's why Ferarri, Ducati, and pretty much every racing team out there uses them, if you have the money, go for it, but you will need a 5-lug conversion and new rims also (on top of the $3,000 brake components).

It all comes down to what you can afford. Do you really want to spend $3k on brakes when you can spend $500 and use the rest toward other upgrades, or do you want the best of the best? Personally, I don't think that you really need the Brembos unless your car is strictly for road racing, but it's your call. I also looked into getting Brembo or Willwood (they don't make a kit...yet), but then I saw the price. It's really a waste of money when the 300zx TT brakes are more than adequate. Add cross drilled/slotted rotors to that and braided steel brake lines, and you'll stop on a dime.

Some quality stuff from Endless will work well

Yeah, I'm thinking I might go with Endless when I upgrade my brakes, but I'm not sure, it's either that or the 300zx TT upgrade.

$3k - Are you fu*king kidding? Do you have sponsers? Is this a show car? If you cannt say yes to the last two then you would be stupid to get that over priced kit. Put money your money to better areas like coilovers or your engine.
Also I just got my 26mm 300zx calipers and about wet myself when I pulled them out of the box. Those suckers are so freaking big. Just waiting on my EBC GS pads to put them on.

Well good luck and hope you have deep pockets.

well...i wasnt think of a big brake kit, supposedly this place has direct bolt on cross drilled rotors, and you can buy pads and calipers to...certainly not 3000 dollars, id go SR for that much $$$

Hrmm...I saw no calipers for sale by themselves...I think you have to get the big brake kit for them. As for rotors, get them along WITH a brake upgrade (such as 300zx TT calipers).

IIRC, the 26mm Z brakes work fine under the seven spoke s13 alloys. Unless you're competing, you prolly don't need either upgrade, but the Z brakes are by far the biggest bang for the buck.

no. none will fit. except for a donut from a Z.

this is the reason i had to find OEM alloys for my snow tires on my 89. yes, that's right, my SR is a daily driver AND i go in the snow and ice without LSD. it's scary sometimes when the boost hits

Why does everyone think Endless is the sheezy? Endless or z32 - there is NO COMPARISON. Have any of you ever driven, owned, or compared it? I would recommend five different pads at different levels - each of which is about 1/2 the cost of a similarly situated Endless.
