I have had this car for almost a year and I notice this weird grease spot on my left headlight. At first I just thought it was dirt, but no matter how many time I clean it off it comes right back.

I look at the car with the hood open and engine running (also reving) and I still can't figure out what it is and where its coming from.

Here are some pics:

This pic is kinda blurry

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

it's called Speed Lube. all cars do that when pushed beyond 90 mph. it helps cut through the air more smoothly.

when you run out (there's a reservoir back there) you can buy more at any large retail establishment. it's right there on the top shelf next to Snake Oil.

(i have no clue what that shit is)

I think it might be mold on the inside of your headlight. Maybe moisture got in some how and the heat from the lamp heated up the light and then when it cools off at night then molds grows. I can't really tell since the pic's suck.

But he said it's on the outside because he wipes it off, it just tends to come back. I don't have any idea what it could be, is there any type of weather that it tends to happen in?

Its not related to the weather, because it shows up during the cold, snowy days and the hot, hmuid days.

I'll post up a big pic and touch it up a bit.

Man....its weird because its kinda like a combination of oil and grease with bits of dirt.

Maybe a front end conversion can fix that problem.

check lines in your car for leaks, oil, brake, steering... all fluid lines... maybe when your floor it something sprays on it then it drys and collects dirt

I finally figured out the problem. When I opened up the hood and revved up the engine a bit I noticed that heat is coming from this part of my engine....i think (pic below). I also realized that the under of my hood is dirty......real dirty and when heat builds up the crude starts to melt, drip and form between my grill and on my headlights.

Now I need to clean my engine, and under the hood if possible.

It's okay man, your car is just going through puberty.
Just the other day, I noticed a bunch of curly hairs growing on my differential... It's a natural thing...

if there is hot air coming out of there that you have some big trouble that is the intake for your air box
