I would like to hear from you guys on what you think about the turbo 2.4.
I also wanted to know if our nissan engines are better than the acura/honda. Like if we turbo our Ka, and they turbo there engine,,,,,would we get more hp ect ect?
And whats the max hp you can put on a ka with stong internals? thanks.

well thats alot of open ended questions
but,,,,, i will try anyway...hehe
for max HP, i would have to say unlimited. the ka is strong along with strong internals. so far i have seen 545rwhp.
is our engines better than hondas, umm yes and no. we have a iron block which is very strong yet have a stroke that limits us to our revs. hondas can swing to up to 9k rpm or even 10krpm with built internals. i know alot of drag hondas that hit close to 10krpm. yet we have the torque, which hondas lack in. plus bigger displacement. with the right turbo matched with the right honda motor, they will have more hp do to the high revs. my friend has a civic hatch with a h22a prelude motor in it fully built hitting 487whp at 20psi. but keep in mind that the sky is the limit. our ka's are capable as well, as long as u got the $$$$$$.
so i believe it is a tie almost. we have our pros and cons and so does the hondas

Positive Comments. I like mine <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
And now hp comparison. It is apples and oranges. HP is a theoretical number, taken by torque x rpm / 5252. So we make hp by sheer torque, and the s2000 makes all it's hp at 8800rpm... 200 below redline. If we could rev there, we'd have the torque and revs, and major power.. but we can't. If all things were equal, and you put the exact setup on a 240sx and Integra, and limited the RPM to our redline, we would win, due to volumetric efficiency and displacement. But that doesn't happen on the street, so why talk about it happening theoretically. Apples and oranges.

1st.. there is no such motor as the KA24DET. You can put a turbo on a KA24DE... which is what these guys have done.
to really be able to tell which motor is better is to judge actual efficiency of each engine in its ability to produce power. I don't know NEARLY enough about either engine to get into that technical of a discussion.
Also remember Revs=HP but ONLY when the engine is still within a certain range of efficiency. If torque is dropping faster than revs are climbing.. you still loose HP. They both have to move in Relation to one another.
