The Last Starfighter.

Think about it. The story is about the defense of a group of planets from an armada belonging to some evil empire. It could be set 30 years into the future with a 50-something tough-as-nails Alex Rogan and introduce a new Starfighter.
Graphics could be all updated so it seems less cheesy by today's standards (and no more 80's bad acting, too!)

The best racing movie ever... classic 1966 film.. Great picture and awesome camera views, they had put real cameras on real race cars and had em go around the track. and even had the actors drive the cars too. An updated version of the 66 season or era of F1 would be nice.. very pretty seeing monaco gp in its hay day.

There was talk of a f1 movie based on the life of Aryton Senna according to the biography.. that would be awesome too..

But by todays standards and safety, they can never do the same type of camera views as they did back then... and it would eventually probably be all CG animation..

I would like to see a sequel to Flyboys. That movie was awesome despite the bad reviews. Maybe based around world war 2.
