I'm looking to change both clutch & flywheel. Im debating btwn a CenterForce Dual Friction or an ACT, and also questioning about that "FIDANZA Alum Flywheel" thats always on eBay.
Has anyone had any experiences with these products or heard of good/bad things??? Im Trying to do some reserch before i buy.
Thanks
I have used every one of the items you mentioned. On my 91 s13 I had a ACT Clutch and Fidanza Flywheel, on my 96 KA-T I used the Centerforce Dual with a Fidanza Flywheel. IMHO, the flywheel is VERY worth the cost and I would see no point in spending extra money for a JUN or Nismo one since they can only be resurfaced once. The Fidanza can be done many times by just buying the replacement peice for about 60-80$ through Fidanza.
I forget the few other companies that make flywheels, but alot of them are replicas of the Fidanza, besides the JUN, Nismo, Toda, etc.
As for the clutchs, I prefered the Certerforce over the ACT, but then thats just me. I have used just about every clutch out there for the KA, besides the new Spec clutchs. Hope this helped somewhat, lemme know if you have any other questions.

hey west and whateverjames, when you put on the CF clutch, did you notice a lack of resistance? like, you really can't tell where it engages or disengages...
I've had mine in for a few months now...and here's what I've noticed:
1-right off the bat, it was only like 1" from the floor...can't believe that's normal, I mean, why have like 1.5 feet of free play? and there really wasn't much pressure...although it grabbed and released fine, I couldn't really feel the engagement point, until it released or grabbed.
2-I changed the engagement point using the little pushrod thingy..
3-now, it's closer to the top, but it's still really soft, so I pretty much have to just memorize the location of my foot, rather then feel the point.
does this make sense? do you think it might have been installed wrong? I had the dealer do it..I know I know...bad mistake...I'm never gonna do that again.

yeah, i noticed that too. i think it's the way they are made. you really can't feel when it starts to grab, until it just does. not much resistance. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
now the ACT clutch on my friends 300ZX, it was so heavy that at stoplights, you'd have to wedge your foot between the gas pedal and the floorboard. the 4th gear scratches paid off though! i don't know if it would be the same for the 240SX.
