forgot to mention i got this ticket in huntington beach.... have any of you with Sr's or any other modded cars ever gotten a ref ticket? i got one the other day in my 13 and i have no clue how to go about it...he cited me for "not having my aircleaner box" haha... the police man im sure wasnt familiar with nissans...or i would have got my car impounded...he told me all i had to do was put the stock box in there and show it to the ref if he aproves it im good to go... and its $10. but i know theres no way anything is going to get aproved with a red top SR ill fail with a quickness... so i was wondering is there anyway to go around it.. i heard i can just pay a fine/bail amount of like $400+ or around there and they will leave me alone... help anyone.. thanks

That is like one of them fix-it ticket huh? well I had one b4. I paid 118 bucks. Just call the number on the ticket and ask the clerk if you could just pay for the ticket.

dude...if you gettin refed...bad news bears for you...refs are total dicks...put it to you this way...my friend made me rush to put his downpipe,up-pipe,headers,stock cats, and OEM airbox with resonator the night before he got refed, and once he got there they failed him for having silicone hoses,BOV, and a few missing clamps...bs...this is on an 04 Wrx and it all looked stock...so imagine an SR showin up at the ref,if you wanna see some bullshit check this page out

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/devices/amquery.php

this is tellin you that aftermarket alarms as well as turbo timers are not CARB legal...what kinda shit is that???

back on topic...
they'll examine your car for everything...what was the original reason you were pulled over?

You can just pay it off rather than seeing the ref... think it was around $700-800

Mike, i am so sorry.

A ref ticket is the single worst ticket you can get. Call the court Monday, and find out if you cant just pay it off. This will ruin your car life. What is up with all the bad luck man?

I've already discussed this way too much. Just search for some of my posts on the subject. It pertains to California and the current laws.

Long story short. Pay ticket off and you get a point on your license.
