Agreed. Gladiator>300 but theyre two different movies. 300 is so much graphics it's just wild.. I saw it thursday at 12:01am.
At some points I was dissapointed, it seemed boring. I also thought the way that the army stopped charging the spartans was unrealistic. They showed hundreds of thousands of soldiers and once the spartans left the corridor entrance they could have definately surrounded them or just kept charging with masses and broken the seal...The way they showed the soldiers charging in staggered form and actually stop was eh... But I'm a critic :-/

Other than that... Badass as hell. Don't want to spark controversy haha:loco:

Some of the tightest shit I've ever seen though, is when everything slows down and all during one take you see people get sliced left and right and multiple people are involved... That was amazing, can't imagine how hard that was to get it right.

By far one of the greatest action movie made in a long time. Will watch it again in IMAX soon. I would put it up there a couple of notches above Gladiator (which also was a badass movie)

I know it's based off the comic book/true events in history. But there's also a book called "Gates of Fire" which goes hand in hand with the movie. If you get the chance grab the book and read it. It goes into so much more details about how they grow up and their ways of life. Also why they fight the way they do.

I agree. I don't know what it was, some of the fight scenes just looked a little too fake for me. I know it's what they were going after with it based on a graphic novel and all.

For sword/sandal movies my all time favorite is TROY! 300 was awesome, one of my favorites. I just wish they did a better job with the story and fight scenes. I love these "braveheart" type of movies. They get you so pumped up. I think I may name my kid "Leonidas". HaHa

IMO 300 is far better than Troy. Troy was done very well but at certain parts of the movie Brad Pitt looked more like a west coast surfer than a fighter. Yeah 300 was done on a green screen but it was done so well you forget about it and just get caught up in the movie.

I just saw it this weekend at Imax. Pretty awesome movie. Saw it with my GF. Through most of the movie she was covering her eyes. But by the end she was into it and upset that we didnt get to see the spartans get there revenge at the end.

^^ :keke: +1 for that comment, I also felt very spartan like after the movie. While trying to get out of the parking lot, there was a guy in a solstice who refused to pull out of the parking lot until the road was completely clear(which didnt happen for like almost five minutes). Needless to say I wanted to give him a little nudge with the titan(I even attempted to use my horn, but my queen ur um my wife put an end to that). :D

I saw it at the imax at universal city walk. It was 14$ it was cool but i couldnt tell any real big difference from watching it in a normal theatre.
