Hey all, I bought what seemed to be a Koyo radiator online, but when i received it today, it said Koyorad. I contacted the seller, and he said that it was Koyo's new logo, and he emailed me a picture of the catalog that Koyo sends to distributors (I guess). I wanna make sure this is real before I open the box. Can anyone confirm or deny this allegation for me? Thanks.
Also, I was under the impression that Koyo radiators were made in Japan, but the box says it was made in Indonesia. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it's the real deal. My Koyo said it was made in Indonesia to... they have a production facility there.

When I was at sema they had a sexy ass z33 rolling on jlines ...
anyways yeah I saw that and asked why and they said "we wanted something new"
buddy of mine along with carlos has a hat from them since the reps were pretty cool, I guess they were bored as well since they said "most of the crew is over at the other show right now"
felt kinda bad for them being told to stay behind while the main crew is else where.
even jdm companies outsource the work... the design and oversight is controlled by them but production has been seen to come from other parts of asia at times.
mRclARK1 - has the correct link... just looked at the other one and yeah thats wasnt them at all.

I've owned prob 4 koyo alum radiators in the past 6 yrs or so (including the one in my 240sx).
All of them are made in Indonesia, and they all work great.:rawk:
The new name is a bit corny, but it does sound legit imo.

I had the same feeling you had when a box with Koyorad on it showed up. Don't worry, it is the same.

Exaclty. Did you know that the D & G clothing line (offshoot of Dolce & Gabbana), some Evisu genes is made in China? Just because there are some poor quailty products made there doesn't mean there isn't skilled laborers. As long as there is someone monitoring the quailty and not cutting corners, as a company like koyo does, you'll be fine.

Lol, for the super-ripoff prices Evisu charges, it better be made in Japan! Considering its a premium clothing brand, that comes across as being less desirable imo. On the other hand, If its cheap t-shirt then i could care less as long its well made and affordable.
Likewise the same is for car parts. I would feel a bit uncomfortable to purchase an expensive full-race manifold if they outsourced to China, but I wouldn't mind for a cheaper product like a Koyo that serves it's purpose well and goes for a very reasonable rate.
