question about evap

i just got done repainting my engine bay and im starting to put everything back in. but i was wondering what everybody does as far as evap. do you hook it back up, or has anybody took it completly out and ran a vented gas cap. its s s14 btw.

You don't have to hook it up. Just plug up the port on the throttle body. Be sure to vent the line coming from the gas tank because excess pressure will build up otherwise.

there is no need for a vented gas cap if you do that? you dont get any fumes inside the cabin?

No. The OE cap is fine.

Are you guys talking about the line that connects fuel tank and charcoal canister? If so, what will happen to gas tank during driving if excess pressure is accumulated?
