View Full Version : Paying for something over the internet via western union??

Well, I am deciding whether or not to buy a laptop over the internet via western union. Western Union does not have any payment protection like paypal does. The guy is going to send me tracking number, and all other info about it BEFORE i send payment, and after i have verified everything, then I send payment. I dont see how this could fail other than I get a package full of dog shit. Any thoughts on this, or experiences any of you guys have had?

Stay away from Western Union, I wouldn't even chance it with the amount of money involved with a laptop.

i got scammed from western union. actually my frends money cuz i was buying it for him. i was on superhonda forums looking to buy some springs/shocks for my frend. the seller said he didnt have paypal so im like watever. then things led up to payment. i sent him the money, i got a confirmation that someone picked it up 30 minutes later. i called him and he said he never got the money and will not send the items until its sent.
that was bullshat. my frend lost 200 bucks from that i and felt really bad cuz i couldnt do anything.
