What do you guys think of the Koenigsegg CCX. I love this car i just think its hot!!!! Its fast and the Veyron is the only thing that is faster but my heart would be with the Pagani Zonda ClubSport! I am guessing by the time I am 30 in my career and my financial situation I would be able to afford one.

Pure + Hotness = Potness!!!!:fawkd:

You decide for yourself

guess it depends on what you consider fast. the veyron is the fastest in a straight line but I've seen a lotus elise exige catch up in the corners. I'd rather have one of these but im biased toward ls1 powered cars. The ultima GTR also holds the record for 0mph-100mph-0mph as well as 0mph-200mph-0mph.

it might make it look better, but that car is engineered to be perfect right where it is...

would you tell a race team to lower their car to make it look better? this car is made to go and it goes very fast...

for looks I would take the zonda, for all around enjoyment (which is more important afterall) koenigsegg CCX :)

check out this video...it's the zonda c12F on top gear, the dude drifts it a little too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEuqdxUzYV4

what some supercars lap the 'ring at:
7:32 - Pagani Zonda F (600HP)
7:34 - Koenigsegg CCR (800HP) (CCX is a more powerful version of the CCR iirc)
7:40 - Bugatti Veyron 16.4, (1000HP)
7:43 - Lamborghini Murcielago
7:52 - Lamborghini Gallardo
8:01 - Bugatti EB 110 Supersport, (600HP)

Murcielago: Nice and actually refined turned a shit ton of heads

Most impressive is that it manages to do that WITHOUT ABS making it way more manly and wild. I can never really see myself owning one of the new wild supercars even if I did have the money. There is no point for a car like that on the street and on the track it wouldnt be as fast as a properly done race car which would be cheaper to maintain and less scary to drive as boot. The only reason I could ever get a "super car" is that if I bought a classic. The new models just dont have soul and the sound that makes you mess yourself.

They also don't run stretched tires. They actually fit the widest within the rules such as the wheels cannot extend past the outer body and for traction sake as well as for room in the event of contact that the body does not rip into the tires. More reason then looks function before form

agreed lol

but to your post before that - a race car can have less wheel gap because of higher spring rates, stiffer dampeners, and smoother overall driving surface. This car was meant to drive fast on the street so it needs to have a little bit more suspension travel and therefore slightly more wheel gap. I know other supercars have less, but every engineer and designer does things differently and that car works well with that much ride height...so the looks suffer a little. A comparison to a rally car would probably have been better since they actually travel on surfaces that aren't super smoothe.

since we are now talking about older super cars...

You're so off the price of the kit it's hilarious. Well, I guess if you wanted to ride around in a kirby aluminum bucket seat with no interior you could get that car assembled for $35k if you haunted every junkyard and put it together on a shoestring. I mean no leather seats, No real dash, no gauges, steering wheel, carpet, door pannels, headliner, etc etc. Let alone big things like AC and power steering. Good luck finding a G50 with a LSD that's not beat to tears for 5k. Then all you've got to do is take it apart and convert it to upside down mode. That G50 will work fine for a stock ls1 but if you plan on supercharging it or something to give you "Supercar" horsepower then plan on supercharging your credit card to rebuild that transmission with beefier parts for probably another 4500 for a general go through and upgrade. Then there's statements like "Find a wrecked corvette for 10k" Since you need all 4 wheel suspension components, engine components and even some interior parts. Which part of the car is supposed to be wrecked? There's not many cars with great engines and great suspension on all 4 wheels that is totaled. I think you should do some real world research to find that if you turned the wrenches yourself and got everything to finish that car out to a "supercar" level interior with basics such as AC and power steering. You're going to be around $60k in price if you do ALL the work yourself. For that you could have just bought a nice used 911 Turbo and probably be faster and more reliable.

If you want to beat ferrari's on the track for much less then go buy a D sports racer SCCA car or a Formula class car.

naa over on ls1tech.com quite a few people have arleady built those for around that price. The kit comes with most of those parts you listed and the donor vehicle is used for rest. I've seen plenty of g50's go for around $2-2500

All Iam gonna say that if you own a supercar to simply track the car you are wasting a shit load of money. There is damn near no point to have a track car that you drive on the street beside having it be a slower track car. I know many races cars that would whip near any supercar which some have half the power. Shit, I'm damn sure a Star Mazda formula car would eat up An Enzo on the track.

ls180sx

and how much do you think a Star Mazda formula car cost, your post is kinda the reasoning i posted that gtm kitcar, a car for under 50k that will kill ferraris as well.....and it's still streetable. The interior is actualy very impressive and near the same quality of a corvettes interior

When discussing supercars price isn't even a concern. This guy is talking about owning a Veyron. Last time I checked they cost about A MILLION MOTHERFUCKING DOLLARS!! A 60-90-150K kit car is nothing compared to that. WTF is moneybags doing on a used nissan forum anyway?

In my opinion spending that much money on a car is morally reprehensible and shows contempt for mankind as a whole. If ya gotta get ur rocks off with a supercar get a goddamn 360 Modena for 100-150K and donate the rest of the money to someone, something, somewhere that could really USE it. Otherwise I'm sure there is a nice piece of real estate waiting for you in hell. Enjoy.

So ya the Ultima is dope but the price is up there. For like 30-40k less you get yourself a Noble.
Now if the Nissan GTR proves to be what the track tests are showing, all of this will not matter because you will get a complete car that will be equal to these in performance for $60-75K. I mean the Noble will still be the competive pricing wise. The Ultima will be out the window though in my opinion.

Oh and no limiting creature comforts like most other exteme exotics... yes thats a radio and you can also get A/C and power options... Nardi Steering Wheel anyone!!

Those super cars are nice and I have lots of respect for them but meh...I get a kick out of having an extremely fast s14 that can kill Diablos and whatnot. There's just something about driving a car that's "not supposed to be fast." Plus, gotta love sleepers.

And yes, I've pulled on a Diablo from a dig with my primered s14

Pick up a K1 Attack Roadster. It's a sleek little car, maybe not as AMAZING as these. But, I'd still like to have one.
