I searched tech and couldn't find exact problem. I bought a swapped 240 with SR20DET. Everything was fine in the begining, now I'm having a few problems. I'm not a car genius but i try and search out the problem.
Problem #1
Car usually idles 850 after i warm it up, now it idles a bit lower between 750-800, I don't know if this is a serious problem but I want to know the cause of this.
Problem #2
I don't remember how the car exactly sounded like after i bought it but i started noticing small things I hear this clicking noise around the intake mani, also when my car starts when cold i hear this rubbing foil sound in the engine then it disappears after it warms up.
Thanks in advance.

Oh man, at first I thought "rubbing foil, wtf is this guy talking about?" then I realized.. I think my car makes this weird sound too, but only since I swapped in the SR20. I am assuming that something is rubbing against the firewall, but I'm not positive. As far as the idle thing, 750-800 sounds good. Mine seems to idle steady at 800.

what kind of oil do you use>?
is it cold where you live?
have you replaced your timing chain guides?
are your injectors rusty and cruddy?
you do realize you have an old car.

your idle is fine, and clicking noise is injectors firing, rubbing foil hmmm iono, but i only get that when its cold in the morning and starting up

I assumed automatically my ticking noise was injectors, but turned out to be lifters. What weight oil you using?

which oil SHOULD we be using? that lifter fix seems tedious.
