Its around 1:30-2am and we get up to the top. Its me, MikeFD, and Kidzelda. We take our first run downhill, Mike is leading in his RX7 and slows down halfways to let me pass him, so now im in the lead and were going down at a good speed. Im coming up to this nice steep turn and realize my speed and angle of entry isnt very good. I downshift like a madman and tried recovering my control. I jus started plowing forward, with the wheels not helping the car turn I hit this 2' high stone barrier that was separating the road from the tremedous drop. My left/front fender and driver side wheel hit the barrier and jus bounces me to the other side of the road. I quickly get off to check the damage and find that my rim is uber destroyed and the fender looked like crumpled aluminum foil. Thats not the bad part. I then realize that my Tension rod and steering arm is broken in two, my Control arm is bent badly, as well as some other parts. I convinced some tow truck driver, in the morning, to pick up my car all the way up there. SWEET! Now I have my baby back home where it belongs.

Anyways, this crash helped me learn from my mistakes and is only making me want to conquer that damn turn more. So after I get my car back to its normal(boro) state im gonna take it back up to finish the run <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'>
And I thank Kidzelda and Meowth for hooking me up with the parts, as well as MikeFD for helping out. That fog we experienced going back home was a trip!

p.s. I will post pics soon of the damage.

man you suck......j/k

it happens to the best of us, the only way to get better is to learn from our mistakes... tough luck you have, was it the same touge where you kissed the mountain last time...

Be glad there were others around to help you... and also that you didn't go off the edge! that would really have sucked. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp;Good to hear YOU'RE ok though!

sorry bro, i feel your pain &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> nice to know kidzelda helped you out, i think he's got plenty of tallents, i recall when i was a newbie @ these stuff, kidzelda has schooled me quite a few times.

hey kidzelda, we should meet up sometimes for a casual cruise, i thought u were in the east, never thought u were here in so cal.

and for adey, you still need the fender and stuff?

btw... this just hit me...

first it was me, i basically totaled my front end, and ended up w/ silvia front end

second it was kevix, the driverside of his s14 was wrecked into a guardrail

third was esta, integra boys w/ fake HIDs blind him, and ended up w/ a fender bender on his passanger side

forth was shelby, got his bumper splitted on the bottom, i think

fifth, now... esta takin out his whole fender/suspension/wheel

the list of touge shall continue... who's next? adey? migs? mikeFD? kidzelda? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notify.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':notify:'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notify.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':notify:'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notify.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':notify:'>

I'm telling you man, I'm never gonna catch boro fever. NEVER!! Not until i want to, anyway. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

But until then, NEVER!! Bwaahahaha!! ha! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

Come to think of it, I'm the only guy from the group who hasn't had his car badly damaged. I've spun out... i think... two times? three? And for some reason, I dont hit any objects in the process! Hoho! I guess that's just because I am invincible! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':look:'>

Oh yea, hope your teins are treating you well. No more crashing, foos. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

haha... shit meowth, I owe you a meal for keeping the fender etc for me. If it's not too much trouble, I'd like 'em. I'll be back in LA on the 18th of Aug if that's not too long for you to wait.
Sorry and thanks!

As for touge claiming victims... I've just been lucky I think. I used to go up a lot, and came REAL close to tearing up my GTi (understeering like a mother... scared me shitless) but so far I've been OK in the 240.
I wouldn't be surprised if I eat mountain one of these days (as long as I don't eat cliff)-- considering how often I go up (when I'm in LA) it's bound to happen. Just hope it won't be too bad!

wow, with the exception of the fender, that sounds JUST like the damage I have <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

awww man its all good... boro fever... gotta catch em all!

I hope I never catch the boro bug &nbsp;=/ &nbsp;

The way I was driving on the first leg, KidZelda can probably attest and say it will only be a matter of time <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> &nbsp; &nbsp;I don't think i can confidently do that high of a level of driving again...on that road at least

On the bright side, all your suspension parts and rim will be able to replace for less that 100 bucks total. &nbsp; As far as the fender/bumper damage... boro gives character <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

We gotta go back to touge and conquer that mountain. &nbsp; Its the only pass that i get nervous on because my lighting sucks and some of those turns are......whew

Yea, I hate those decreasing radius turns, they are so bastardly! You know... those ones that start off wide and suddenly get sharp! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Hehheh I wanna see the pics. I've seen quite a few touge accidents around here too. :P AE92, S13, S13 (totaled), S13 (totaled), S14, and the same S14 again (idiot). I feel like making a mark on my door everytime there's an accident so I can keep track. Those five 240SX accidents all happened within the last three months. x_x

Personally I don't think I'd ever go all out on a mountain. I don't wanna crash and make my S14a boro. ^_^; I know that if I push my car to its limit (or my limit), I'm bound to make a mistake, which is what happened at the track on Convention Day 3. Fishtailed at that big turn in the back and spun off the track (nobody saw it happen except myself and a flagger, who gave me a thumbs up for it :P). It felt great but I'd hate to have that happen in the mountains.
