the connection between the high pressure line and the hard line... i cannot for the life of me get this thing loose. we've been going at it with a flare nut wrench for about three days now, trying for a long while and then giving up for the day. i've got the hardline bent down to an accessible angle, i've got the base of the high pressure line c-clamped to the frame. i just can't get this fucker loose. any suggestions?

i had to use a big pipe wrench for plumbing. it was the only thing i could get to bite.

Get someone stronger. It was a bitch for me to get off. My hard line was bad, so I took off the high pressure line and hardline. With it out of the car I had better leverage. I just cut the hardline and used a breaker with a pipe on the end. You just need to get some leverage.

Soak in PB Blaster. Use a 6-point socket and a long breaker bar.

i once had trouble getting one off. I only had a wrench, I made my own "custom breaker bar" it was an aluminum baseball bat cut at the top (it was hollow in the inside). Worked perfect, now I never have issues.

finally got it off, using a plumbing pipe wrench to hold the base, and a flarenut wrench + big pipe to crank on it. sidenote: for 9 bucks, Harbor Freight's flarenut wrench set is pretty quality.
