quick question, does the compressor map or the turbine map tell you anything about the responsiveness of the turbo? if not, is there way to determine em in some sorta scale or number? other than smaller faster spool.... larger more lag.....

maybe there s no such thing.. huh
latency would be different for different applications...
Although, i guess spool would be faster as the gas turbine flow rate decreases huh... i guess i just answered my stupid question.. lol

What is a compressor map or turbine map?

Are you trying to find out the turbo's ability to spool and sustain boost?

A bit of newb advise, go buy "maximum boost" by corky bell. it will teach you how to read a turbo map. and teach you on how turbos really work.

I think that everyone here should have this book in thier collection! When comparing maps you'll also need to knonw about your motor, Flows/ VE ect...
