Well I decided to check for codes the other day since I havent since Ive had the motor in the car for the past 2 monthes. I expected a code 55, but in turn got a code for the crank position sensor. Ive had this problem before with my previous motor. The harness came from a good running car, the ECU came from a junkyard with a Nissan sticker stating it was remanufactored in 2004. Ive tried 2 different distributors, and both end up throwing the same code. Is there anything else I should try, or should I just try to find another distributer to try?

Why would you swap distributors if the crank position sensor is throwing a code? That's like putting on a new tire because your trunk won't latch. Two completely unrelated things.

You fail at the internet.
The camshaft position sensor is located in the distributor for all models, E and DE.
The crankshaft position sensor, an S14 only item, is located on top of the bellhousing.
Again, two completely different, unrelated items. The CMPS controls ignition timing, the CPS is simply a diagnostic sensor that monitors misfire. It can be removed and thrown away with no ill effect.
