HI well my friend has a 5 lug s14 that he is willing to let me have the 5 lug wheel conversion to swap to my 4 lug s14 only thing is i have to get them myself
what all do i need to get off his car to make it a plug and play type swap onto my 95 s14 which is 4 lug......also he has suspension he is letting me have to should i go ahead and get that?
i just want to know all the parts i need from the car to make the 5 lug swap possible for me. i know i need the hubs rotors and all that but what else?

Grab the following and get to work:
19mm (IIRC) Socket For Hubs
32mm (IIRC) Socket For Axle Nut
36mm Socket For Rear Axle
Rachet
Breaker Bar
Beer
And Have fun. Also might wanna grab the rear end if its vlsd and the tie rods.

i have lsd and tie rods im assuming i have since i have lsd also whats a breaker bar?
also in the front end whats the lca and ball joint. sry im a noob at s14 suspension.
oh and if i get an impact gun how long you think it will take to get all the parts of if i really get to work?

if hes letting you take everything then you should just go ahead and take off your whole front suspension including struts and everything that attaches to the lower control arm(be careful when you bang the ball joint out, turn the wheel and bang on the part where the ball joint comes through without hitting the ball joint bolt)
when doing the rears you have to take off the rear calipers, then you can have to loosen and take out four bolts that hold the hub on to the rear knuckles. then you have to bang out the axle and pry the hub off, which can be sort of hard. the brake shield is pinched in between the hub and the knuckle to give you an indication of what im talking about. i normally just pry it apart from there. then pop it off and screw the new 5 lug one on.
its pretty easy

DONT HIT THE AXLE DIRECTLY WITH A HAMMER. You will fuck up the threads. I have to run right now, but I will type up a How To when I get back.

Thanks man i really appreciate that this will be my first time ever trying this so it needs to be pretty detailed if you dont mind.
also if there is any way possible can you take pictures of the parts i need to get and the parts i need to avoid for both the front and the back thanks. im just getting the stock coilovers and the shocks and everything else needed for a basic 5 lug swap. thanks dude

you don't need the shocks or the springs
to make shit super simple, all you need is the knuckle and spindle.
luckily i have leftovers from my 5 lug swap still here
4 lug pictured obviously, since the 5 lug parts are on the car
this is what you pull from the front:

1. remove wheel
2. remove brake calipers, brake rotor, and brake caliper bracket
3. unbolt everything
4. pop out the tie rod by hitting around it with a hammer and then hitting it once with a hammer on top
5. pop out the lower ball joint with a ball joint seperator. alternatively you could unbolt from LCA too and leave the ball joint in. it's very expensive for S14s and it's nice to have a spare. in my case it wasnt available.
this is what you need from the rear:

0. i took the RLCA because i wanted it. you could seperate it with a ball joint seperator.
1. wheel, brakes etc all off
2. unbolt everything, including the rear lower control arm. alternatively, don't unbolt the RLCA and use a ball joint seperator and seperate the rear ball joint from the spindle.
3. pop out the metal ring that clamps the inner axle to the inside of the spindle. the whole spindle will slide off the inner axle.
4. the end.

also whats a breaker bar?
a tool used to break bolts/nuts loose. a long lever you put sockets on. similar to a ratchet, but without the ratcheting mechanism.

I love long threads with bad info.
Both cars are S14s, so all you need are the hubs, NOTHING ELSE. Spindle, LCA, rear upright, none of that is needed.
32mm socket for front, 36mm socket for rear. The front hubs slide off the spindle in under a minute, the rears pull off the upright after the four 19mm bolts from behind are removed.

no need for an oversized socket
plus you get alot of spare parts, which is something that is always nice
ultimately its up to you dude

Definately misread that he had a S14. 19mm for the 4 bolts that hold the back hub on and follow Russ's post.

Why? Two bolts, nothing hard at all unless you step on the pedal while they're off and don't have a decent C clamp. Even then you can use a large screwdriver instead.
