Sup. Im a 16 year old new to this club and i recently fell in love wit this car. I ive moved from civics, ecliplses, M-6's and now the 240sx. I know that the stock 240sx is slow, a lil faster then then most STOCK Hondas. I wanna run like maybe mid 12's, hopefully with out NOS. My question is what would be better to do wit lil cash. Make it a KA-t or swap a SR20DET. Ive seen some SR20DET's for like 1700 but im not sure if it comes wit everything u need. And i also seen turbos for the KA and they seem a lil pricey like 4000. Evenutally if i get the SR20DET engine i will buy a new turbo, Garrett t3/t4 in mind. I really wanna beat boosted civics, most porshes and vipers. I know it sounds crazy for a lil teen but it will take a while to do what i wanna do. Thanx u guys if u can help me wit the question. Sorry one last question. Is the insurance high for the 240, im plannin on getting a 91 240sx se

yea 1700 for just the motor
full sr swap with all goodies like nice big intercooler,ect.....
adds up to about $5800 - $6000
you can turbo your ka with a kit for like 3,000
then add about 2 grand more and get pefrommace pistons and ull be set
either way its gonna cost u at least 6 grand to run 12's
unless u get headers,a ZEX computerized nos kit <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> ,full kat back exhuast, and some fuel work and u may hit high 12s maybe
im going ka t im putting a turbo on my s13,it SOCH,zilvia peps dont like SOHC <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> but o well
plus think about it if u get a sr where u gonna parts lol?<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>??and if u do get ur $ ready lol

Why is this a poll? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
The question is up to you. To get to the performance level you are talking about, you'll need about the same amount of cash either way. I'm fairly confident either way would require a rebuild with some stronger internals. I don't know if his car is still in the Rides section since the site was redone, but PSI240sx is where you want to be performance-wise, mebbe a bit higher.
And Tony, where do you get off sayin' we don't like SOHCs? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
