Okay so i was driving my 1990 240sx for the first time in months (finally got the clutch replaced).. As I'm driving it, all of a sudden i feel the car bogging and the RPMs drop down and it felt as if it was engine braking.. I thought maybe the needle on the gas meter was broken so I went to get gas.. Turns out that wasn't it.. After that I turn the key and it cranks but won't start.. I tried jumping it and it actually started but drove it for about 5 minutes and the same thing happened except this time the RPMs dropped down much more and the car was unable to move at all and I eventually just stalled... Could this be the fuel pump? Or what else could it be and what steps should I take to find the problem? I just dropped close to 5 bills on the clutch, i don't know if i have a lot of money to fix this next problem so i don't want to take it to tha shop until i have a good idea what it is..

Thanks in advance.

fuel filter, it was sitting for months, sediment collected in the tank and clogged your fuel filter when it was stirred up by driving

sediments in the tank getting kicked up and into the fuel filter is a myth.... maybe for gas back when it was processed differently.
